Clarkson family of Thistleton

My ancestor John Clarkson of Thistleton left a will which was filed in 1767.  I am guessing he was born around 1700 but I do not have access to the Kirkham registers for this time period.  There are many Clarksons from the Thistleton vicinity listed in the wills index for much of the 17th century and I am sure they are the same family but I cannot make the connection.  Is anyone else out there researching the Clarkson family of Thistleton?
