 My grt grt grandfather was Samuel Adams born 1827  in Ireland probably Belfast. He married Jane (Maiden name also Adams) 14 th March1849 Presbyterian church , May St Belfast. Their children were Hugh Henry ,my grt grandfather born1852. ,Margaret,Jane ,Mary,Agnes and Sarah Ann. The family moved to Liverpool in the 1860s. Samuels father was Hugh Adams, Janes Father was Henry Adams. Can anyone help with my research please

Hiya Jsearch,

I have the 1852 directory on loan from the library. The info in Danny's message makes it look as though Henry and Samuel were no longer porters in 1856. I'll see if the library has the 1853-55 directories.

Danny, could you check 5, Rochfort Place and 5, William's Row in the 1856 directory, please.

Success !! Thank you for this info.This is my Grt Grt Grandfather as the address is correct,a cousin found out that they lived at Academy St ,when my grt Grandfather was born.Is the Ulster directory only available in Ireland? It would be good to actually see his name in it .
