Can anyone suggest a way of discovering the names of family and servants occupying Tidebrook Manor, Tidebrook, East Sussex circa 1923/24.

Electoral registers should record everybody in the household old enough to vote .............. was it 21 then?

Contact the nearest main library to the manor - even if they don't have them, they should know what survives and where they are.

Apparently Tidebrook Manor was owned 1898-1948 by a Mr J.E. Budd, something of a local character.  I've not been able to find out the name of the local POW camp during WWI, but there certainly was one.  I found evidence of memorabilia (cards, letters etc) from 'Sussex Camp' being sold at auction.
