Hi
no these names are not connected to me but there is an extensive Hanson family tree with many relatives in Birmingham on Genes Reunited . co . uk. I'll check out if these are a match.
regards
Louise

thanks again for your help.

Thanks Jim

I plan to return to Birmingham archives on my next visit. Only live in wolverhampton, but don't know Brum at all.

Dad - Nigel Hanson, used to work in Lewises and is from Great Barr/ Aston so knows city well. Wanted old photo's to see if the building still stands after the new road system  was completed in the city in the 1960's as it runs past Summer Row.

Visited Barton arms area of Aston to look at roads where family tree members lived and Clifford street where dad grew up. Obviously no back to backs so VERY different from 1950's!
thanks again for your help.

There are some nice photographs and an interesting history of The Barton Arms, Aston, Birmingham.

Thomas Fulford (1817 to 1882)
Licensee 1860 to 1882, The Barton Arms

The Grade II listed pub suddenly closed in the last few days.

Also featured here with exterior pictures and old floor plans for Messrs Mitchells & Butlers Ltd, on a website about Aston and Aston Manor Birmingham
