Clingan
Can anyone help please.
Unable to find death details of Rachel Clingan, wife of James Grierson Clingan who died 1934 at Kirkcudbright.
Her MS was Aitken.
She was a widow with the married name of Dawson when she met and married James (a widower) in Dumfries where they lived for some time.
Have all other details but still not able to find her, even after searching both
statutory deaths for Dumfries, Kirkcudbright and all other areas. Not mentioned on family stone at KPD.
Any ideas of where to go next?
Thanks
Ian

Hi Ian

It was James Grierson  CLINGAN b 1861, who died 22 March 1934 KKB.....

Did Rachel die after or before him? And when was she born?

Cheers

Greetings,
Do not know if she died before or after.
Rachel born 6-15am 25/4/1876
at Amisfield village, Tinwald, Dumfriesshire
to
Herbert Wilkin Aitken and Janet Aitken or Strong

Changing tack slightly, note the Falkland Islands Coat of Arms with your message. Lived in Stanley for a very short while with one of the familys so have an interest in that part of the world. No doubt it has changed.
