Hi again Maidmarian,
Thanks everso for the following
"NOON THOMAS OLDKNOW THOMAS ELIZABETH 1864 5 1 HORSLEY COLLIER 29/12/1800" At last a Thomas who is a collier and living in the right place! He seems to fit with the older Thomas on the 1841 census, especially as I have an IGI ref for a Thomas Noon of Horsley marrying an Elizabeth Oldknow in 1784 . The Thomas Oldknow would appear to be the younger one in 1841, married to Ruth, and a Thomas born Horsley,  wife Ruth, is living in Heanor in 1871. Wonder why he suddenly got christened in 1864  Still the fact that he wasn't christened as a child sits well with my having no ref of a baptism of Ann.   Only problem I've got is Elizabeth's age. Ann was born circa 1813, making Elizabeth in her 50's, still I suppose that is possible. Thanks again.  Jan
