To save duplication, (and wasted effort) can you list what information you have acquired so far?

Hello Pauline,

Thank you for your reply.

Have you any connection with the Brunton families

I have three Brunton families parents originated from Norfolk and have information up to 1901 census.

Really want to know about  the Brunton children after 1901.

Can you help?

Regards

Yvonne

There are topics about researching after 1901.
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,193062.0.html

It's going to be a trawl of GRO indexes, combined with maybe historical Electoral rolls.

there's going to be a bit of a gap 1901-1911 when Births don't have maiden names in the index and you can't tie of info from Census (without identifying the address).

So the paln can only be to approach it as a one-name study; collate all the Brunton births and marriages and deaths...

Local newspapers may help. You don't give any indication at all of where you are though. It's helpful to give a general idea so that advice can be tailored to possible personal visit/ purely online research.

Yes I agree with you  the problem is the gap between 1901 -1911.  So it  does become a problem when there are three related families with children of the same age.

I live in Wiltshire so not easy to access local parish records.

The only solution as such is to throw some money at it;

So knowing where a family was in about 1911, (from a birth or marriage cetificate) you could purchase the census entry for that house. That would 'sort out' the major part of who belongs to who.

Newspapers etc of the area are available, but not online.
