Orphaned SPENCE children 1861
« on: Monday 12 March 07 13:17 GMT (UK) »
Looking for an orphaned brother and sister in 1861. They are Isabella and George Spence. Isabella would be about 16 and her brother about 8 or 9. They were both born in Scotland but following their parent's deaths in 1860, the youngest children went to live with their older brothers and sisters.
One of the older children Allison was married to a  George Piercy and took in her brother Alexander in Co. Durham. There were 3 other older sisters who may have married and taken in the younger ones- they were Christian(1836), Agnes (1842) and Isabella (1845). Not sure whether they would be in Scotland (Berwickshire), Northumberland or Co. Durham.
Many thanks, Maggie
