St. Thomas' Home Basingstoke
« on: Friday 26 November 04 15:58 GMT (UK) »
St, Thomas' Home- Basingstoke was a dwelling place in 1881 Census .  Notation by census taker describes it as a "Home for Wayward Women" or something like that.  Could someone confirm the description as St.Thomas Home was  residence of a Great Aunt for 2 yrs circa 1899.

Thanks

Ray,

I posted information about St. Thomas's on this thread yesterday:

It has taken me until this morning to remember that someone else had asked a similar question!  Better late than never. ;)
