Dad in RNAS 1917/18
« on: Thursday 15 March 07 14:52 GMT (UK) »
I have just found these pictures of my Dad, he must have been about 17/18 he was in the Royal Naval Air Service in the 1st World War.

I am going to Kew on Monday to look at the records and I would be so very grateful if anything could be done with these very poor snaps  incase I need them.

Thank you

Have just had a thought!  Does anyone know what the aircraft is?  Dad is in the cockpit, so could do with him being a bit clearer if that is possible.

I am so very grateful to you all for this very clever stuff!!  It makes these old picture come alive.   8)

I should have said POST not DO some more. So sorry!  I certainly could not do it and thats fact. Hand and eyes not good enough!!!

Hi Rabbit

To get your Dad clearer, we will need a better scan at 600dpi.

Cheers

Hi Cazza59,

How many do you need? Can you not alter the dpi via properties? It is on the drop down file menu, I only know that cos someone told me!

I can do it again if you'd rather, but I need to know how many you want.  Thanks for all the trouble you are going to.

Rabbit, why don't you post this pic over on the Armed Forces board, someone over there is bound to know what kind of aircraft it is.

Me, I think it's a Sopwith Camel ;D
