1851 census request, Aberdeen
« on: Thursday 04 March 04 17:34 GMT (UK) »
Hi
I'm looking for John Munro b 1825, Boyndie Banffshire in the 1851 Census in Inverurie,Aberdeenshire. In the 1881 census it says he was born in Boyndie,Banffshire but I have not been able to find his birth in Boyndie. He is possibly with  Janet/Jessie Davidson b 1831 Aberdeen. They had a child (Jane) out of wedlock in 1851 so I'm hoping to find them together. Any help would be much appreciated.
Carol

wonder if you are still looking for john munroe?

best i can do with the info provided but no baby jane?

1851 census; 69 george street, aberdeen west

john...head...age 30...carpet handloom weaver...born aberdeen
jessie...wife...age 30...born aberdeen
susan...dau...age 2...born aberdeen

checked the 1861 and it still says born aberdeen, still no sign of jane with them in 1861

Joe

There is an actual extracted birth for a Jane born to these parents on IGI, looks to probably have just missed the 1851 Census:

JANE MUNRO  Birth:  10 JUN 1851/ Christening:  15 AUG 1852  Inverurie,
Parents: Father:  JOHN MUNRO    Mother: JANET DAVIDSON

At least 10 children showing for them on IGI (Jane looks to be the first), all birth in  Inverurie.

Regards.

Monica
