  Hi Mack..yep thats them.

Richard came home after a gas attack in France but none of the boys suffered serious injuries. As all things go I consider my family lucky. In all over my tree I have 43 family members who served in the forces in WW1 only 2 never came home. What these men and boys went through I can only imagine and give thanks for every single one of them.

               Cheers        Tazzie

krrc ;)

As a newcommer to this forum, There is no doubting the man is in the KRRC.  The original question was what was the medal, please?  The medal/badge is not KRRC.  Please stop confusing the issue as we already know this. Where was he before the KRRC?

 :)

As Tazzie's family contribution to the war was so great, perhaps the medal was worn in honour of a relative.

read the full thread and check the photo Jock,

the gentleman in the photo is known to be a KRRC man,  the medal/badge in question is a KRRC cap badge pinned to the gent's lapel
