Albert Nicholas DONOVAN
« on: Monday 19 March 07 18:15 GMT (UK) »
Hi everyone,

My Great Uncle, Albert Nicholas Donovan, lived in Slough and on his death certificate  of 1938, it states that he was a 'Wood Working Factory Owner'.  Can anyone suggest a way I could find out which factory this might be, and any more details about it?

Thanks for any help
Lindon

Hi Lindon

I am going to move this over to the main Bucks board for you from the Resources board.

Are you certain that the factory was in Slough, Bucks and not Slough, Berkshire which is a much larger town?

Rick :)

Hello Rick

Thanks for moving my message.
I now believe that the boundary for Buckinghamshire has been moved, so Slough is now part of Berkshire.

However on Albert's death cert. 15.3.1938, the address where he died is given as Slough, County of Buckingshire.  Isn't life complicated!

Thanks for your help.
