Hi,

If they are going to the archives OR has the manuscrispt or microfiche of the Eaton Bray Wesleyan (is it church or chapel?)records,
could they look up  the following?

in the marriages between 1827 and 1840-a marriage between a Caroline TIMMS and a John GEE.

Births--between1827 and 1840 of any children of the above plus the parentage of a child called Julia TIMS,Mother Caroline Tims born 1839

deaths/burials-between 1827-1841-of John GEE

Many thanks,
Trisha ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi Trisha

At least part of your request can be done online yourself. Eaton Bray Wesleyan baptisms 1798-1837 have been extracted onto the IGI. If you use the Hugh Wallis site at
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers/CountryEngland.htm#PageTitle
you can check the baptisms yourself. There's one in 1836 so the marriage is likely to have been before this date, and John's death during or after 1835.

But if they were married pre 1837 it could not have been in a Wesleyan chapel as they were not authorised to conduct marriages, so the marriage would have been in a Church of England (the exceptions were Quakers and Jews). But looking at your other threads perhaps they weren't married at all

Regards

David

Later....but as she married Mr Allen as Caroline Timms presumably she never married John Gee otherwise she'd have married as Caroline Gee
