Thank's Gadget.
That's better. PC playing up, laptop not much better.
I've never deleted an image before. (And I was trying to watch the cricket! India are going home!).

Have a look at the 1881 Census in England (Family Search/ Ancestry), there is only one entry and she fits beautifully!

Marg. H Cargey 19, teacher (school mistress) unmarried, b. Felling, Durham, England

She looks to be at home with her family, 2 more sisters also teachers!

Regards.

Monica  :)

Right, now I can forget her as she definitely isn't a Younger. Should I tell Scotland's people?

You'll get more response from SP than Ancestry, Peter - I was just going to look at the 1881 but had to do some domestics  :)

Monica and I have similar minds - we often come as a team  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Good on ya Monica  :)

So I contacted SP and got this reply.
Quote
It is not possible to change existing records. These records are in some cases hundreds of years old.
If there have been mistakes made and these have been picked up on there may be a RCE for that record. An RCE is a Record of Corrected Entry. This is basically a duplicate of the record but with the corrections made. We currently do not have RCE's available althought this is something we hope to bring in the near future.
I suppose what it means is that anybody else looking up the same entry is going to have the same problem (unless they belong to RootsChat :))
