Going backwards would've been easier for me!!  What sort of thing are you after?

Regards, Emma ;)

Hi Emma,

William and my mum were brought up more like brother and sister than cousins.

Sadly lost contact many years ago. She just wonders if he is still alive.....could be, she is!!

I recently posted a search for a living person and got my wrist slapped for doing so (only in a nice way! ;D ) - privacy etc.

I looked at the death records for 1984-2004 and there appears to be nothing obvious on there.  The only other option I can think of would be to trawl backwards from 1983...

Have you checked out Electoral Registers?  Or the phone book?  Might shed a bit of light on things...

Regards, Emma ;)

cheers Emma
I know you are not supposed to , but it was in the hope that someone close in the family might be doing the same kind of research and see the message.

Will have to resort to your suggestions!
many thanks corndolly

Hi emma
to answer your question - not that I'm aware of.

William Isackes' mother Ellen Mary (Enefer) and my mums mother Kathleen Charlotte (Enefer) were sisters.

My mum was born in 1913 and William in 1916 and as I said brought up more like brother and sister. Time marched on,  mum moved away and married, WW2 etc followed and they lost touch.  She was aware that the family had moved to Caistor (Grimsby) but didn't know where. Since I have been researching family history, and jogging her memory on different things, she just realised that its possible he could still be alive.

If there is a connection to anyone called Ewan, it would probably  be after they lost touch.
