Lewins/Taylor
« on: Tuesday 27 March 07 17:28 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find any info on the following ancestors.  Richard Thompson Lewins was born about 1833 in Morpeth.  He was the son of Richard Lewins & Margaret Bowman.  He died 1885 in Morpeth.  He was married to Victoria Charlotte Mary Taylor, born about 1850 in Newcastle.  Any help, however small, would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
thanks for replying.  It is me, I am confused with all these Richards.  You have got the right one.  Richard Thompson Lewins was born about 1853, his father also Richard Lewins was born about 1827 (his father was Richard as well born 1795)
I am confused with Victoria Charlotte Taylor.  I also found her in the 1881 census with her mother Charlotte Taylor.  I can't find her in 1891

In 1901 Victoria C.M. Lewins (married name) is age 51 living in Shield Street Newcastle Upon Tyne
Also living there is
Charles Taylor head, widow age 89
Victoria CM Lewins age 51 daughter
Irene Lewins age 19 granddaughter (my husband's great Grandmother)

1881 census as you said

1871

Charlotte Taylor 57 widow
Joanna       "       22 dau
Victoria CM "       20  dau

where is Charles Taylor??

1861

Charlotte Taylor  48 married
Joannah Ann "     12  dau
Victoria CM    "      10  dau
Charlotte ?           11  niece

again where is Charles??

1851

????
William Taylor 39  married
Charlotte  "    38   wife
Joseph      "    13   son
John         "     9     son
Joanna    "      3     dau
Victoria CM     1      dau

so is William Victoria's father and if yes who is Charles on 1901 census, should it read Grandfather not father

1841
Tynemouth
Charlotte Taylor  25 Lodging house keeper??

I should be able to find Irene Lewins in 1891 but I can't

Can anyone else?

Thanks Jacqui.  Can you find them in 1891?  This is the only census I can't find them in
