Hi Karen, bless you :D

William Paterson b. 1847 Scotland
Elizabeth Jane Campbell b. 1852 Ireland

First child (that I know of) was born Apr 28, 1880, so I was thinking 1879 would be a likely date for a marriage. So far, nuttin' :P

The Ontario website wasn't the Gov't, it was this:
http://www.ontariogenealogy.com/database/baptismmarriageburial.html
Still haven't heard from them.

Cheers,

Do you have them in the 1881 Census?

Karen
Gandley (but known as Stanley in Canada)- Ireland to Birmingham
Ball, Kempson & Franklin - Birmingham
Shorter - Surrey
Dyer - Devon
Dawkins - Co. Cork, Ireland
Heffernan - Ireland
Huck - Alsace, France
Reinhart - Baden, Germany
Bowman & Ellis - England
Etheridge - Gloucestershire

Who all came to Canada in a little row boat, clap clap, clap your hands!!

No...<sigh>...doesn't seem to matter how many times I look, he's not there.

He is in the Montreal directory, though, 1880-81 Paterson Wm., box maker, 28 St Hypolite.
