I am looking for information on the Blatherwick family who lived in Fareham Hampshire England. Some common first names are Thomas, John, William, Mary, Elizabeth.
Any information about this family would be greatly appreciated. :)

Hi there Ibarrett

Just had a quick look at the 1871 - 1901 census  - all on line, with the following results:

1901 - Blatherick, born or living in Fareham - 0
           Blatherwick anywhere - 0

1891 - Blatherwick anywhere - 446 people.

Of those 446 non were born in Fareham, and only 1 was actually born in Hampshire in Litchfield.

1881 - Blatherwick anywhere - it came back with 761 people, most seemed to be in Notts or Lancs, with a few in York – but did not scroll through them properly as there was to many.

1871 - Of the few counties that have been transcribed and indexed there are 16 Blatherwicks, but non were shown as born or living in Fareham or Hampshire.

Give me a few names, birthdates, etc -  and I will try to locate who you are looking for

Hello Chris,
Thank you very much for checking The Blatherwicks for me. The earliest one that I know of is Thomas b. abt. 1759 in Fareham and d. abt. 1834. He married Mary Hooker and Katherine Dempsey. Their children were Thomas  , Charles Hooker Blatherwick, Stephen Barney Blatherwick,   John, and Mary Elizabeth.  John married Elizabeth Holmes. Their son John Joseph was born in Portsea but I believe the family returned to Fareham. I have been told that John Joseph married Agnes Wilkins. They had a son John who married Susan Harford Silcocks. This family had children born in Hitchen Herts.
They emigrated to Canada. It would seem that the others either moved to other parts of England or emigrated elsewhere. I would love to find out where they went as they seem to have left Fareham. Thank you again for your generous help.
Regards,
Lorna
