Hi

My friend is a non subscribing member of Genes Reunited. He cannot initiate any contacts with other members but he can reply to anyone who writes to him. We were in contact with each other only yesterday.

Bonjour encore.

On Genes Reunited, for absolutely no charge, you can :-

- Enter up and modify your own tree (whenever).

- Make your own tree available to any other members (or not).

- Reply (repeatedly) to anyone who makes contact with you.

- Search the site for any names (by several methods).

The payment of the subscription enables you to do the following, as well :-

- View other members' trees (if they allow you access).

- Initiate contacts with any other members.

This (especially the free part) seems to me to be a very good deal well worth making use of and in my opinion, the new style tree is fine once you get used to it.

However, having read all of this thread and a few other similar ones, I am inclined towards writing to Genes Reunited to complain that they have given me no reason whatsoever to complain and have thereby deprived me of the opportunity to have a good old whinge on RootsChat about them. ;D

Am I the only one who is being “victimised” in this way by them ? >:(

DS ;)
