Unusual surname - try a few speling variations?

Its Jewish. I tried Goldberg because that was a family name but couldnt find him. Any suggestions for variations of Gofberg.?

The family were Russian and Polish Jews refugees from the Tzarist pogroms in latter part of the 19th C.

I did find a ref. in Ancestry .com to an Aaron Gofberg but Im not a subscriber

Raffel Gofberg lived with his b-in-law Abraham Greenberg in Thorpe St. B'ham in 1901.All Raffel's children including Aaron were born Russia.Even the youngest daughter at 8 months so it looks like they had just arrived.
Let me know if you want the full details.
