Thank you once again, Monica. Yes you are better at searches.

Hi Cupcake,

As far as I know Hightae never had a cemetery of its own (at least not since 17th century).  Each death would have involved a 4 mile trip to the old Lochmaben cemetery.

I'm no longer in the area as much but I have a few things to look up there for a few people and will add your request to the list.  I'll let you know what if anything I find.

Best regards,

Kojak

Hi Kojak,

Thank you for you response, regarding Lochmaben cemetery. I contacted the Archive centre in Dumfries. They couldn't find a headstone for them.

However, there seems to be a headstone for the Grandparents John Richardson & wife Helen. They also told me there are post 1855 inscriptions, which, hopefully could  be their grandsons, Joseph & James, I am looking for.

I can only imagine, the parents had them buried there, as they moved up to Glasgow.

This is all guess work at the moment.

Regards

Thanks Kojak,

We found the Grandparents and took a pikkie, but the littlies weren't listed on the headstone.
