Books about Pembrokeshire
« on: Sunday 01 April 07 20:09 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to find a book written by Ewart Thomas Lewis called "North of the Hills - a history of of the parishes of Eglwyswen, Eglwyswrw, Llanfair Nantgwyn, Meline and Nevern". All references I can find with online booksellers show it as unavailable, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any local bookshops in Pembrokeshire I could contact who may stock copies of books (new or second hand) written about the local area?

Many thanks

Blethyn - Pembrokeshire
Bowen - Pembrokshire
Vernon - Cheshire/Lancashire
Davies - Cardiganshire
James - Monmouthshire
Tozer - Calstock Cornwall

Massey - Lancashire

Many thanks. My family lived in these villiages for at least 150 years (that I know of, possibly earlier) so it would be nice to know some of the history of the area.

Thank you, that's really interesting. I've never actually visited the area, although my mother remembers clearly going down on holidays as a child to visit relatives. I think it could be a camping destination this summer, I can find a nice pub to leave my partner while I go exploring where many my ancestors came from  :)
