John Smith and Sarah Ann Webb of Little Gransden and Abbotsley Cambs

Sometimes the Cambs FHS search engine is a bit quirky. Nothing showed up for a search with "Little Gransden". But put in " Gransden" or "Lt Gransden" and you get a result.

So it seems as though the Jane who was buried in 1835 was probably his mother. But where was Samuel in 1841?

I think Alison had the right families in 1841 and 1861, as Sarah from Hunts wasn't in the picture at that stage

My mother was from Gt Gransden (Hunts), she went to school in Lt Gransden (Cambs), and a couple of miles the other way is Beds. Makes research in those villages a bit confusing!
