Hiya, :)

If someone was in the West Riding Regiment,would he have joined up  in England ? My gGrandfather was in this Regiment in India,i am trying to find out if he was born in India,i do know all his children were, and they where Anglo Indian.
I cannot find a birth or death for him. I have found his 2nd marriage,but not the marriage to my ggrandmother.

it's possible he joined in india and was born there, especially if his father was in the army

Hi,
His name was Augustine Ansboro b 1850,

Later became Police Sergeant in Jubbulpore,
