Hi annecaroline,
Looked into the lead you gave me and fiddled around a bit, thought I had a good lead to email for information; typed it all out and sent it .... and before you could say 'Jack Robinson" I got a reply from the mail administrator saying that it couldn't be sent!

Have a look at the Emigrants to South Africa-there is a discussion there on getting the records from the Archives .I have been waiting to see if the lady actually got them before having a go myself.
