Although transcribed as Ussr Newcastle on Tyne, image clearly read Sun (short for Sunderland ) Newcastle on Tyne.

Would you like me to transcribe the image??

thank you suz,
i have an ancestry copy of the census for that date, but the mistake must have been made by the ancestry transcribers or  someone with a wicked sense of humour,
but if anyone out there could find any records of this family previous to that date (1891) or after i would appreciate it, thanks again, kali.

hi suz,
thanks once again, as that info has taken a little doubt i had in my head as to wether or not i had  the right family, you see the barry council in thier wisdom destroyed all the electoral records making it very dificult to trace anyone after 1901, so this has set my mind at rest about that, thank you and cheers, kali.

Been looking on 1871 but there are a few possiblities -will have a look tomorrow.
How wonderful to have the tools ancestors used -just to hold them and imagine the work they have done must be quite emotional

not only do i have the tools but also many bits of furniture that was made by different members of the family with these tools, one of the family was in the ship salvage business & nothing that was salvaged was wasted, hence some lovely furniturer made of all the best timber of the day, how can people part with something like that? kali.
