Thanks Trishmac - I did try to make him into a Bootmaker but it just didn't fit. I was intending if needed, to pay for the image, so it is nice to have the translation without the expense  :)

Looking at the map - I was thinking you are never too far from freezing in Shetland - it looks a long and cold distance from Australia

I'm not sure if these come from the 1901 and 1881 Ancestry census indexes, or the other open censuses, but I've now seen examples of the place of birth shown as "Deaf & Dumb", and, the very latest, - "G&E" !!
