Wild in Edingthorpe!
« on: Thursday 05 April 07 14:04 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I'm desperatly seeking Francis/Frank Wild/Wilde/Wiley's parents.

I have found him on all the censuses, none of which he is with his parents.

The details I do know are:

He was born c1826 in Edingthorpe.

On the 1851 census he is a servant for the Barcham family, aged 15 and called Frank Wild.

1845 he married Elizabeth Stearman.

1851 he is Francis Wiley, living in Paston with wife, Elizabeth and kids Henry, 5 and Robert, 1

1861 he is Francis Wilde, living in Bacton with wife and more kids

1871 he is in Edingthorpe, and is Frankis Wiley, same wife, more kids.

Hi is driving me insane!!!  Obviously the most sensible route would be to purchase his marriage certificate but I am researching on behalf of a lady in her 70's and funds are low.

Is there any other way of finding this info other than the marr cert or taking a trip from the south coast to Norwich RO?

I have tried IGI - nothing and the Norfolk Transcription Archive - nothing

I have no idea where too look next, currently scrolling through all Wild(e)s and Wileys in Edingthorpe looking for possible parents....mad I know!  Have searched the 1841 census and only come up with 1 possibility.... John and Ann Wild - thay are the old couple old enough to be Francis/Frank's parents but I cna't prove it - IGI is no use again...ARGHHHHH

Thank in anticipation
Legs
