Am looking for details of William Varney, Prisoner, Aged 33, Married, born Eaton Bray, a prisoner according to 1901 census at Bedford Prison, Bromham Road.

Wonder is anyone able to look up at Beds Record Office please?

Carol

Have not looked at prison records but local paper.
William was done for embezzlement and received three months at Bedford Quarter Sessions according to the Dunstable Gazette dated 23/1/1901. Was first brought up Luton Divisional Sessions and was granted bail.....paper damaged so a bit missing but date being 27/12/1900.
Have copied and will send on if you wish. Send me a PM with your home address as I inadvertently deleted your last PM that you sent with it.
