anything on a catherine scott?

looking for anything on a catherine scott born sep 1864 in brampton death or otherwise. her father was william scott born 1840 in ireland mother jane scott nee martin born 1841 in durham.

Death Catherine Scott Sept q 1869 10a - 260 Chester Le Street, Durham.

1871 Census, this family fits with her parents info you have given.

Where have you looked for her?  Can we assume that you have failed to find her with her parents in the 1871 census and that is why you think she may have died? Ah, I see Patrish has solved it for you.  (While I was toasting hot cross buns!)  For future reference you can search all BMDs free on www.ancestry.co.uk   Scroll down the first page and you will see a link on the right hand side.  Choose the complete version.

Unless you get the certificate or look at the parish burial register you cannot be sure this is your Catherine.  If the family quoted for the 1871 is correct then it is unlikely they were in Durham in 1869.  Particularly as the other children are born in Cumberland.   Not impossible but you must check it before accepting it as fact.
