Help to identify Scottish uniform

Would someone be kind enough to identify uniform in this photo please.
Would you say he was a musician? 
I've tried to identify it by the cap badge, but it's not easy to see.

I'm making an 'educated guess', given it is Aberdeen and I'm saying the Gordon Highlanders. Take a look at this picture and the caps/tartan for comparison:

Not sure of the age of photo Wendy, I'll find out.  It is the exact same as the photo on the link that Gadget posted, so is probably Gordon Highlander.
I'll try and find out more, but in the meantime, thank you both for your help.

Yes, your soldier is definitely a Gordon Highlander. Looks like a photo from around  the early 1900s.  He is not a musician,  he is a Private soldier in No 1 dress.

Can you tell us anymore about the  man in the photo?

Good morning.  No I can't tell you anything about the soldier, except he was gt/gt/grandfather of my internet friend.  I'll email him and get him to tell you more himself.  (Another member for this smashing site ai?) :)
