Wyllie, Hillhouse

I am currently working on a project to produce family history information on recorded burials at Loudoun Kirk, Loudoun parish, Ayrshire.   However I have come across a memorial by Margaret Wyllie for her mother Ann Hillhouse.  At the time of her mother's death, Margaret was in "Honolulu, Sandwich Islands".   I haven't found a marriage record for Margaret (b. 1810 in Kilmarnock).  Her father, William (b 1783 in Sorn) was a coal carter.   I am curious as to why Margaret went to Honolulu, her mother died in Loudoun, Ayrshire and with no record of a marriage, it was seem a bit adventurous to make such a journey on her own and without reason.   She may have married someone who went to work on the plantations with the marriage being unrecorded.   Does this family look familiar to anyone?
Ayrshire:- Wilson, Donald, Pearson, Milligan, Wallace
Surrey:- Langford, Mullard, O'Neill
Special interest:- Loudoun parish
