Hides/Hydes of Addlethorpe and Merrill of Winthorpe
« on: Tuesday 10 April 07 20:14 BST (UK) »
My Hides/Hydes family came from Addlethorpe (earlier from Hagnaby) and lived there in what is now known as "Hides's Lane" throughout the 19th Century. Faulkinder Hides my great x 2 grandfather, married Eliza Merrill b.1823 Winthorpe, the daughter of St Thomas Merrill of Winthorpe. The Merrills can be traced back in Winthorpe area to 1711. They also appear to have held land at Friskney, and Thorpe St Peter.
Faulkinders mother was Ann Faulkinder d/o John, and Eliza Merrills mother was Mary Foster d/o Nathaniel.
Anyone out there related/researching?
