Help with reading doc. please.

Just been on the nationalarchives.gov.uk and downloaded the doc. below can anyone make some sense of it for me please :) Can anyone also tell me occ. **** Merchant?

Looks like iron merchant. Also moved in some way to RAF.

Thanks for that he does appear as a Marine dealer on a birth cert so I'm not sure he did have lots of jobs but I can't make any sense of the rest of it apart from height etc  can't read names of ships and what does all that next to it mean? ??? ???

A marine store dealer was kind of what we now know as a scrap merchant so I guess "Iron Merchant" would make some kind of sense as one and the same thing ...................... "any old iron" and all that
