You all have been very helpfull.  Will have to have a closer look who the others were on board.

What do you mean by tender ship? I'm not very navy minded.

Looks like the mother must of died between 1861-1871, need to do some more research, but can now order a birth certificate for Jessie, did wonder if Jessie was a real name.

Thanks again

Which mother do you mean?
Are you interested in your great-grandmother's sister-in-law's parents (Curtis) ie not direct ancestors - or your great-grandmother's parents (Tinney)?
The latter are in Devomport in 1871 indexed under TENNEY.

Thanks Richard for your time. It was really my Great Grandmother Jessie that I was interested in but got carried away with the Curtis family. That what genealogy does to you.

Hi All,

Ref reply # 9

"In 1881 Samuel is in Tamar, Stoke Damerel, 19 Herbert St.

Alice, 20, unm., Dressmaker
"

Herbert Street is slap bang in the middle of Morice Town in Plymouth.
