« on: Saturday 14 April 07 17:29 BST (UK) »
Hello ,
I am looking for the death of Margaret Crossan between 1871-1881, she was the widow of John Crossan of Greenock. She may of course gone back to Ireland but would rather check deaths first .
Any help appreciated
Regards
Alan

Hi Alan

What was Margaret's maiden surname and approximate age - would help anyone doing any searches for you.

Regards.

Hello,
Yes , I should have said , sorry. Born about 1817 in Ireland , maiden name Young. The family are together on  1861 or 1871 census at greenock  but I believe John died aged 65 in Dec 1871.
Thanks for reply
Regards
Alan

Hello Monica,
I had not actually tried Scotspeople as yet. It seems it could be her , dates etc fit. If so she was still in Greenock area, I have not found her on 1881 census  though but will look again.
Thank you , much appreciated.
Regards
Alan
