loughguile rc church

could anyone help ,i need to find a marriage which has to be in church record's,i have tried everything i can
the detail's are archibald acheson
          and         mary ann kane
they are laid to rest in the church ground's so i would think that this is where they married.the possible date's approx  early 1900

Hiya Zander,

Loughguile (or Loughile) Catholic records appear to be under local control so you may need to write to the church.

of the marriage,looked in belfast still nothing.

PRONi do have some records of Loughguile (St. Patrick's) Roman Catholic Church but I don't have any details as to what records these are.
If you have contacted the church and the marriage isn't in their records it probably didn't take place in that church. Usually, but not always, the marriage took place in the bride's church which may or may not be where the children were baptised.
Consider the possibility that the marriage might have taken place after the first child born or after even several children were born.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Years ago only wealthy brides would have worn a white dress.
