1841 census look-up Kilconquhar/Carnbee Fife Please
« on: Monday 16 April 07 09:56 BST (UK) »
Hi All,

I am looking for a Agnes Adams who was Chr. 28 May 1826 in Carnbee.

Some of her other siblings were chr in Kilconquhar.

Her parents were Richard and Helen Adam/s who were married 18 Jan 1819 in Largoward, Kilconquhar in Fife. On the IGI it also said that they married on the 20 Jan 1819 in Carnbee.

Agnes Adams married Charles Gillespie 19 March 1843 in Girvan, Ayr.

Looking forward to your replies

Wendy

Agnes looks to be working away from home at the Duff household in the 1841 Census:

Agnes Adam, female servant, 15, born in the County
Address: Loans Toll, Kilconquhar

Not sure if father Richard has died by this point, but this looks like mother Helen with some of the children. Ages rounded down as normal for the 1841 Census:

Helen, 40
Sophia, 15
Jane, 15
Helen, 13
John, 10
George, 8
James Watson, 20
Margret Watson, 20

Address: Largoward, Kilconquhar

Regards.
