Their son Mark Brooker - to my knowledge Mark aged 18 was shipped to Van Diemens Land (Tasmania) for theft and arrived 1826, He later married Matilda Martha Simmons in Launceston 1837 and they had 6 or 7 children.
I believe there are about 14 to 15 births recorded to Mark Brooker and Matilda Simmons, Matilda was involved with other men so cannot really say if all were Mark's! Matilda went on to have several other children very busy! She died aged 60yrs in 1881

Hi
IGI Batch # 7700422, records parents of James Brooker as Thos. & Eliz.  Other source: 1841 UK census James, aged 60, an agricultural labourer, wife Sarah, and Mary Taylor aged 85, living in East Grinstead, Worth Sussex. Also present are married daughter Ann Tulett aged 20 and her husband James, but transcribed as Suletan. Daughter Elizabeth Brooker aged 15 also recorded.

I have 9 children for James and Sarah Brooker. They are: Mary Ann 1803, James 1805, Mark 1808, Sarah 1810, Ann 1814, Philadelphia 1817, Harriot 1820, Milley 1823 and Elizabeth 1826.  Is that about right?
regards, palmeri
