1851 Census Kilconquhar/Largoward Please
« on: Saturday 21 April 07 02:49 BST (UK) »
Hi All,

I am trying to find Richard Adams and his wife Helen.

Richard Adams wasn't on the 1841 Census, so I am not sure if he had died or just wasn't there at the time.

His wife HELEN was age 40.

Their children on the 1841 census were:
Sophia 15
Jane 15
Helen 13
John 10
and their youngest child George Adams was aged 8.

If someone could please have a look for me it would be wonderful

Kind Regards

Wendy

Hi Wendy

It does look as if Richard had died - but this is my transcript from an already transcribed source which does not state the marital status:

Helen and son George:
1851: Largoward, Kilconquhar, Fife
Parish 436, ED 4, pg 11
Address: Largo Ward
Head: Helen ADAMS 55, Outdoor Labourer, b Cameron Fife
Son: George ADAMS 18, Hand Loom Weaver, b Carnbee Fife

Cheers

Hi Ambly,

I am sorry that I haven't gotten back sooner than this but I have been away on holidays.

Thankyou so much much for finding Helen Adams and her son George for me, it is another part of the puzzle solved.

Kind regards

Wendy
