what would the number 070 mean in the occupation of father colume when the word "carter" is also there?

Have you tried asking the same question in the occupations area of the site ?
Also it might help if you could scan that part of the certificate and post it in ?
I must say I personally have never seen a number added to an occupation

think any numbers on certificates refer to corrections, but can't find any references at the moment. There have been other posts about this, but can't find any!
