The Tate School Wexford

I'm looking for any information on this school, which my grandfather Stephen Huggard attended, probably around 1901 or thereabouts.  I would love to know more about its history if anyone knows anything ;)

The late Jim Jenkins published a book on The Tate School a few years ago.

Thanks very much nickr90, I've just done a quick search online for it - and it's mentioned on the Wexford official site, but doesn't seem to be in any of the local libraries - have you any idea where I'd get my hands on a copy?

Sadly there is no index so your Huggard not easy to check.
Was he the solicitor?

Yes there were solicitors in the family.  Martin Huggard, who was also mayor of Wexford in 1880, was Stephen Huggard's (my Grandfather) father.  Stephen was one of thirteen children, so I imagine a few of them at least went to the Tate School.

If you are in Ireland try the 'inter library loan' system. Wexford County Library has multiple copies of the book. Jim Jenkins died some time ago and as it was self published I don't know about copies for sale.

The title is The Tate School Wexford 1867 - 1949.
