Tribal Pages - should I sign up?
« on: Tuesday 27 February 07 10:17 GMT (UK) »
I have noticed that the Tribal Pages site gets a lot of mentions and I am considering signing up.  However I would appreciate a bit of feedback from rootschatters before I take the plunge, ie. advantages and disadvantages.  :)

Thanks,
Maggie

I signed up to it and find it very useful.
I only use the free version which after a time will put adverts into your pages, but they are not at all intrusive.
You can password protect your site and just let in those people you want.
I've currently got all of my living relatives on it as I am still waiting for bits of missing information from them. When I have all of that information I can hide them from view and then remove the password.
Hope this helps.
Peter

Maggie,

I have a tribal page and I think it is great. It is very secure and user friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

I would highly recommend it - had it for about 2 years now and pay for mine to have the benfit of extra features and no adverts, but its only a small amount of money (so small I cant exactly remember how much).

somewhere between 8 - 12 pounds I think  ::)

Its so user friendly, but looks so professional.

have attached my site link for you to take a peek if you want..

I use it too and have been very happy with it.

A word of warning about uploading census and certificate images...I don't think you are allowed to do that.  Aren't they the property of the Crown, or come under Crown copyright, even though we have purchased them?
