Bradley Familys of Monaghan, (O'Brolchain)
My GR grandfather James Bradley 1812, Co. Monaghan emigrated to Canada approx. 1832
Married a Can. girl in 1838 in Kingston Ontario and moved to Durham county
where he got 100 acres of land and began a farm and a long family history in Canada.
sadly he died in 1870 from a fall from a wagon and is buried in Orono, Ontario

I know is a long shot to find family history, stories or info, but it's also a chance to connect with others looking for thier roots.
Being in my mid forties and searching for my family history is a great hobby for me and hopfully I have some time left to find out all I can.
Look forward to "chatting' with all who are connected to a similar search.

Hiya Bradley,

You should have a look at Griffith's Valuation for Co. Monaghan (1858-60). I know the Valuation was conducted in the county after the time your great grandfather emigrated but the Valuation may help in finding the townland where your ancestors lived.
