Sir Richard Lawday killed Civil War Feb 1643
« on: Friday 27 April 07 02:46 BST (UK) »
Monmouth church parish register lists Lawday's burial 12th February 1643. he was shot in a skirmish with Parliamentary soldiers at Coleford in the Forest of Dean on 7th February. He commanded a regiment of foot made up mostly of Welshmen. Looking for any information about Lawday(+variants) and this period. He may have been quartered at Raglan Castle.
Thanks Narelle
