Alderney, Saint Anne Churchyard Completed
« on: Friday 27 April 07 20:51 BST (UK) »
Hi
The Royal Engineers Bomb Disposal, are attempting to expand their Roll of Honour. At the moment it is just a list of names, we would like to make this into a more comprehensive Roll by giving all a page at minimum with service details and a photo of their grave or memorial. One our casualties is buried in the above grave yard i have fuller details of grave number ect. If anybody could take a photo for me and e mail it i would be grateful

Hi,

I know the grave you mean.  While I can't actually help you with the photograph - I don't live in Alderney any more - I have a suggestion for you.

The local "newspaper", the Alderney Journal, has just launched its own website.  You could probably leave a message on there so that Alderney residents can see it and maybe you might get a response.   Might not work, but worth a try - www.alderneyjournal.com

Good luck
