Thanks Lones,
Will try that. There is usually a way round. So hope my problem has the same solution!!
Will have a go later.
DIL has sent me three huge files of wild weather last week in USA. If I have too many windows open it's crash time!!

Hi Folks,
Hope that have not misunderstood the question, but I e-mail restored pictures to myself. It works a treat! [right click and choose that option! easy peasy!!]
Then I can save attachments as normal. Hope this doesn't sound daft, but I find it easier that way.

Just to sum up:
Method 1)
Left-click on the
name
of the file, it gets downloaded to disk with the same name.
If you have a standard folder for downloads, you may have to to move it from there,
to wherever you want to save your pics.
Method 2)
Left-click on the paper-clip, same again
Method 3)
Right-click on the image, you get a context-menu with various options,
such as "send to ..." (Rabbit's suggestion)
or "Save as ..." (see Tomkin's and Lone's instructions)
The file will be saved as
index.php.jpg
, so you will need to rename it afterwrds.
