Hi listers

James Lewis married Martha on 21st July 1825 in Llangan.  Has anyone been looking at this family?  What was Martha's maiden name?

Does anyone know who their parents were?

(IGI says she was Martha David, but I think that may have been her father's Christian name).

could be that it was and the patronymic system was still in use in that area. Bit of an explanation here.

copies of the parish records are in the Pembrokeshire Record Office in Haverfordwest, microfiche copies in the Carmarthenshire offices - might be more reliable than the IGI.
