Toronto Birth and Deaths after 1916

Thanks to Karen I now have some leads to follow regarding my Great Uncle Percy Cook who left England for Canada and arrived 1913.I would like to know if there is any way of tracing his death which was sometime between 1920 and 1944.I am also trying to trace the birth of two of his other children Benjamin Cook and John Cook.Any advice gratefully received.

There is a Percy John Cook who died in York County Ontario in 1929. Toronto is in York County so this could be your Percy. The death record is on Ancestry in Ontario, Canada Deaths, 1869-1932. I do not subscribe to ancestry, but I am sure someone who does will access it for you and provide the details.

Percy John Cook  from Suffolk England (b. Feb 28/85) died Jan1 1929 at Toronto General Hospital York. No maiden name for mother. given. Occupation carpenter. If this is a match I can get the rest. No wife listed.

Thank you Linda and Kiddo.I appreciate the time you have both taken to look this one up for me.Unfortunately my Percy was born in Staffordshire England about 1883 so I don't think this is the one.

I wonder if he used John more so then Percy..??

Thank you for your reply.The details I know are as follows
Percy Cook born 1883 Staffordshire England.Had died by June 1944 date not known
Wife Agnes Elizabeth Cook Born about 1890 St Helens Lancs died ? Toronto
Son Harold born 1920 Toronto died 11/06/1944 France
Two other sons Benjamin and John mentioned in Harolds obituary 1944 no details known about them.

 I am looking at the records for Canada to see what I can come up with.
I might add that the only thing else I see on the death record for the Percy Cook born in Suffolk, Eng.. was the informat apeared to be his- 'step dau.' named - "Mrs Amelia Dawson".. just incase someone else is looking for a Percy Cook.
I do not see a Percy Cook - which could fill your search, in Canada. But that means nothing really.. as he is there you said- perhaps he used his middle name of John ?? Or J P or P J - I am still searching, however.

I do see a few Percys, in the census of Eng .. that would fit as far as birth year and birth place being Staffordshire.

I will let you know what I find.
